RICHARD BLAIS

RICHARD BLAIS is a chef, restaurateur and hugely popular TV host.
Perhaps most associated with Bravo’s “Top Chef” franchise, Blais started as contestant, then won “Top Chef: All-Stars” and now is a regular judge. He was the host of “Hungry Games” on Food Network; a rotating judge on Fox’s “Master Chef”; the host of the new competition show “Man vs. Master” on FYI, as well as a frequent guest on shows on those networks and others. His Flip Burger Boutique has 4 locations that have been doing well for years. He followed the success of his flagship restaurant in San Diego—Juniper & Ivy—with an all-day chicken and eggs concept called The Crack Shack, which has been so popular that they are opening 3 more locations. And he’ll launch a modern steakhouse in Miami called Cut & Dry in 2018.
Blais’ debut cookbook, Try This at Home: Recipes from My Head to Your Plate, which was nominated for a James Beard Award, reveals a simplified approach to adventurous cooking by sharing new flavor combinations and textures to reinvent home cooks’ classic dishes. His second cookbook So Good, was published in May 2017.
