COLMAN ANDREWS is an American authority on food and wine.
As a writer and editor, he is best known for his association with Saveur magazine, which he co-founded and served as the editor-in-chief of from 2001 until 2007. He was then a restaurant columnist for Gourmet magazine and currently is the Vice President and Editorial Director of The Daily Meal. He is considered one of the world’s foremost experts on Spanish cuisine, particularly that of the Catalonia region.
In addition to his magazine and freelance work, Colman is the author of several acclaimed cookbooks, including his most recent The British Table, published in November 2016 . Colman is the recipient of eight James Beard Foundation awards, including the 2010 award for Cookbook of the Year for The Country Cooking of Ireland (Chronicle Books, 2009). He has also written several text-based books, My Usual Table and Ferran: The Inside Story of El Bulli and the Man who Reinvented Food.
