DOMINIQUE CRENN
Chef and owner of Atelier Crenn, Petit Crenn and Bar Crenn in San Francisco, DOMINIQUE CRENN is one of the most celebrated chefs in the world. In 2016 she was named the Best Female Chef in the World (by the World’s 50 Best) and was featured in Netflix’s “Chef’s Table” hit show. She has received scores of accolades, including being the first female chef in the U.S. to receive two Michelin stars, being honored as a Food & Wine Best Chef and Eater’s “Chef of the Year” in 2015. Her first cookbook, Atelier Crenn: Metamorphosis of Taste, was released in November 2015 and received several best cookbook of the year awards. She is currently working on a new book with Penguin Press.
Crenn grew up in Brittany, France and credits her father and his best friend (a restaurant critic) with inspiring her to become a chef by taking her to some of Europe’s best restaurants when she was very young. That was a near impossible dream growing up in France, where men dominate fine dining restaurant kitchens, but one that she achieved. Today, she runs two of the best restaurants in the U.S.
She has a successful line of cookware and tableware with Daniel Boulud and Michel Richard by Lenox that was launched in early 2015. She is on the Lexus Culinary Council and has several brand partnerships, including with LG and Georg Jensen. She has been featured in People magazine The New York Times, and has made many appearances on TV and has been written about in many publications throughout the world.
