Spicy Maple Glaze Chicken Wings

 

12 whole wings

1 tablespoon hot BBQ rub

2 cups maple syrup

1 cup apple juice

1/2 stick unsalted butter

1 cup chili sauce

 

Heat smoker (or oven) to 275°.

Clean and wash wings. Apply same rub over wings, flip and repeat.

Place wings directly on smoker (or on a baking sheet in an oven). Cook until internal temperature of wings reaches 165 degrees (about 1 hour and 15 minutes).

Combine remaining ingredients in sauce pot and heat until smooth and hot. Take cooked wings and submerge in heated mixture and place back on smoker (or in oven) for another 8 minutes for sauce to set on chicken.

Remove and eat.
