Maple Syrup Turkey Brine
4 cups maple syrup
4 pounds dark brown sugar
2 cups kosher salt
2 gallons water
About 12-pound young whole turkey
BBQ rub (mine or your favorite kind)
Mix all ingredients except turkey thoroughly in a container large enough to hold ingredients and then the turkey.
Clean and wash turkey. Submerge in mixture.
Cover and place in refrigerator overnight, or at least 8 hours and up to 12 hours before cooking.
